kicking down the door
there was this one time i was really infuriated by my toddler (he is 3) for time outs he goes to his room with the door locked. i got so mad after i closed the door to his room, i started to kick it. hard, over and over, until my foot hurt. i do not recommend this tactic, it was not premediated on my part but burst out of frustration. the problem is now my lil boy who is having a punishment in his room had taken to lying on the floor and kicking the door. hmmmm...wonder where he got that idea?

Oh my goodness! lol It's so true that kids will reflect back the very qualities they are shown in the worst moments >:-/ ack! I so hate the "locking them in their room" stage, but I know that with my youngest (3 in January) I would be greeted with toothpaste finger-paintings (or something worse) on every wall if I didn't! Know that you're not alone-there are plenty of other Moms out here pulling their hair out & kicking down doors right along with you! Hang in there!
